This assignment was geared towards an assessment of a brainstorming session using the app Slack. Using on online tool like this was out of my comfort zone. My teammates felt similarly. There was not a good flow to the brainstorming exercise, and the lack of video or face-to-face interaction made things difficult. What this exercise did teach me was the value of seeing someone’s face when engaging in a creative pursuit and allowed me and my team to think through more effective ways of engaging in brainstorming with team members in remote locations. I think this exercise was a great example of LO4 because we had to apply critical thinking to come up with ways to strengthen our communication effectiveness.
