5 Common Survey Question Mistakes That'll Ruin Your Data. (2018). Retrieved from https://www.surveymonkey.com/mp/5-common-survey-mistakes-ruin-your-data/

Summary

This article pays attention to and provides guidance on how to avoid common mistakes when designing survey questions.  The five common mistakes boil down to not writing leading questions, avoiding loaded questions, not writing double-barreled questions (meaning, don’t ask a question where you are trying to measure two things at once), using absolutes in questions (Yes/no, always, all, every, etc.), and using language that is too complex.

Experience

This was an extremely useful article for me.  It has already and will continue to serve as a useful reference for me whenever I design a survey.  I also think this will give me a tool by which I can provide helpful feedback to others when they are designing surveys.
